Make your car part of history!
With this 7th edition in 2023, the Concours d'Elégance Suisse celebrates the 96th anniversary of this historic concours since 1927, bringing together each year sixty to eighty exceptional automobiles from 1920 to 1989, classified by theme and celebrating anniversaries.
It is with great pleasure that we invite you and your car from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 June 2023 in the sublime setting of the Château de Coppet, near Geneva, to celebrate these icons of automotive style and design.
The Concours d'Elégance Suisse is one of the few historical competitions in Europe, as it was held in Geneva from 1927 to 1956. It is a great automotive tradition that is revived and confirms for its 7th edition the judging criteria implemented since 2019. A double jury, one ruling on authenticity and the other on the appreciation of style and design of the cars presented, will award a prize to the winners of each class.
As always, we will award two Best Of awards, a signature of the Concours d'Elégance Suisse: the Best of Show and the Best of Sound, which pays tribute to the mechanical symphony of the legendary automobiles presented on the lawns of the Château de Coppet.
Several new features await you this year:
-
Parade around the Concours lawn on Saturday afternoon, for the pure pleasure of the public.
-
A private area, the Drivers Lounge, to sit and enjoy refreshments throughout the weekend.
-
Possibility to reserve a table for lunch on Saturday and Sunday, in the Drivers Lounge restaurant.
-
The Award Ceremony will start on Sunday at 11am.
During these three days you will have time to share your passion in the chic yet relaxed atmosphere of the Concours d'Elégance Suisse.
If you need to ship your cars in advance, we can offer you storage solutions with our local partners. Please contact us.
As the number of entries to the Concours is limited, we invite you to return your entry form as soon as possible:
Selection Committee
The Selection Committee, composed of five members, selects the cars to be accepted into the Concours. Cars that are not selected for this edition will be reconsidered as a priority for subsequent editions. Among the criteria of preference in the selection procedure are: a presentation that respects authenticity, a history linked to Switzerland (sold new in Switzerland, always kept in Switzerland, presented at the Geneva Motor Show, etc.) as well as cars that have belonged to the same family for several generations.

The Authenticity and Elegance Jury
The Concours d'Elégance Suisse pays tribute to the style, mechanics and function of the automobile. Thus, the appreciation made by the jury goes beyond aesthetics and must take into account the function of the car: that of being driven. This appreciation will be taken into account by the Jury so as not to penalise owners who continue to drive their cars. Indeed, the "Concours condition", often considered as a selection criteria, should not refer to the state of cleanliness or the perfection of the restoration of a car. It is the intrinsic qualities of the car that will be taken into account, especially in view of the age and normal use that should be made of these cars.
Therefore, the Concours calls for an Authenticity Jury, which will judge the cars according to strict criteria of appreciation considering the respect of the authenticity and the history of the car presented. This position is intended to encourage near-original preservation, whether or not the cars have been restored.
The Jury of Elegance, on the other hand, will judge the beauty of the coachwork, its influence in the history of the automobile and the elegance of the competing crews.
These two juries will work together, under the direction of the President of the Jury and the President of the Concours, to award class prizes to the most authentic and spectacular cars. The Best of Show of the Concours will be awarded to one of the cars that won its class. The Best of Sound will be awarded to the car with the most inspiring and exciting engine sound.
